Susie Buck is a professional ballroom dancer formally competing in International Standard and Latin. Covering the United States and Canada, some of her accomplishments are 10 dance finalist at the Heritage Classic Dancesport Championships in 2005 and 10 dance finalist at the Star Challenge in Canada in 2001. Ms. Buck has also done many performances on stage and on television. She was a familiar at the George Eastman House for their annual Oscar Party event, dancing live with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, an Edgar Degas rendition for the Memorial Art Gallery and performance for the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra for “The History of Ballroom Dance”. Ms. Buck has also co-choreographed the production of West Side Story combining both Mercy High School and McQuaid High School in Rochester, NY.

Ms. Buck jokes she is also a “professional student”. She currently holds a Fellow in Standard and Licentiate in Latin, Smooth and Rhythm. Professional affiliations where she holds her degrees are ISTD, DVIDA, CDF and USTA. Ms. Buck is also a regional examiner for DVIDA. In addition to dance education, she has also achieved Post Graduate work in Learning Disabilities at the Albert Einstein College, a MS in Special Education from Nazareth College in New York, BS in Elementary Education and Fine Arts History from SUNY Brockport in New York and Certification with JCAHPO (Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology).

Ms. Buck has 10 years experience as an adjudicator for USA Dance and Collegiate Competitions. She has judged the Manhattan Amateur Classic and the Carolina Fall Classic. In addition to adjudicating, she is also active coaching all levels of dance from beginner to professional. She has successfully prepared several professional teachers for their professional examinations for USISTD and currently for DVIDA.

Additionally, she has lectured and demonstrated for the Physics Department at SUNY College of Brockport and The Health Fair at Rochester, NY. She has also taken many workshops, some of which include an Adjudicator Workshop on Viennese Waltz through the CDF and a Scrutineer Workshop through the CDF. Ms. Buck has also attended many Congresses through the WDSF in the United States and Canada.
