It feels like it has been forever since I have seen many of you. We have all been through a crazy year. I do hope that everyone made it through safely. I have had some big changes this year. The beautiful venue at Boulder Creek Ballroom is closed due to COVID-19. I started teaching at 501 Washington Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. It has a huge floor and is attractive inside. I am teaching private lessons there. I am still working on getting some classes started again. I will keep you all posted. I am also traveling to some student’s homes to teach, as well. Let me know if you are interested in that option. I do hope to see you very soon. Dance parties are on the horizon!

Good news fellow dancers, the governor has relaxed some of our restrictions so that we may start to dance once again! We have a new location and are teaching private lessons. We still need to follow good practices such as wearing masks and washing hands!

Work on your steps, floor craft and meet some other really, nice ballroom dancers! Music being played will be Ballroom/Latin/Country/West Coast Swing. The beginning will be a quick 20-minute Intermediate Lesson each month on a different dance. February Dance Lesson will be a Latin dance. $5 per person. We are starting a new Beginner III Class starting Ballroom Couple White BackgroundThursday, February 6th at 7:00 pm! It compliments Beginner I and Beginner II.  We add on to the Waltz and Foxtrot, and learn the fun Samba and Mambo!  8 weeks, one hour each week for $80.00.  Reserve your spot today!

Afro-Am couple Ballroom poseNEW BEGINNER I CLASS THURSDAY, JAN 23rd  @7:00pm! – This is the class that gets you started in learning to dance! Join us and the fun people who take the class. It is a great way to make new friends. We get you dancing around the room the first night! Classes are 8 weeks – $80pp. Location: Boulder Creek Ballroom. A $10 deposit to hold your spot is required. Learn the Foxtrot, Merengue, Hustle, and Cha Cha Cha! Dress comfortably. No street shoes! Only dance shoes or socks, please!

NEW BEGINNER II CLASS TUESDAY, JAN 28th @7:00PM – This class continues where Senior Ballroom Couple***Beginner I leaves off. We build more dances for you to learn. Yellow latin leanINTERNATIONAL RUMBA CLASS MONDAY, JAN 6th  @7:00PM. This is a 4 week class for only $44 per person. The Rumba is a beautiful slow dance.  We are learning International Style (Cuban Rumba) which is slightly slower than the American Style (Box Rumba).  Many of the steps are interchangeable with the Cha Cha Cha. $10 deposit to hold your spot. 

INTERNATIONAL TANGO CLASS WEDNESDAY, JAN 8TH @7:00PM. – We are learning cincinn whitethe International Style Tango.  Strong, sharp, and staccato. A fun dance with personality!  It is a 4-week class.  $44 per person. Sign up ahead of time to reserve your spot.
 

Dance Sign Couple*** If there is a dance you would like to learn that is not being offered, please speak to Susie.  Some people create their own group, so get your friends together! Get the day and time you want, too!***
BALLROOM DANCE PARTY  SATURDAY, JANUARY 4th @  7-10PM

Join in on the fun! This is a perfect way to practice what you are learning in the classes.  Music being played will be Ballroom/Latin/Country Western/WCS.
The beginning will be a quick 30-minute Intermediate Lesson each month on a different dance. There will be an Intermediate Ballroom Dance Lesson.  $5 per person. Please let Susie know if you plan to attend if possible. Thanks! (Feel free to bring a snack or drink if you like!)  🙂

Only $44pp.  This is slower than the American Rumba.  Beautiful to dance to.  We will cover the Bronze level syllabus.  Rumba is known as the “Dance of Love”.    Location: Boulder Creek Ballroom. A $10 deposit to hold your spot is required.  NO street shoes, please! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  Now it is time for December!  We have our Saturday Dance this week on December 7th. Please make sure you tell Susie if you plan on being there!!!  Also, there are two new fun 2 week classes – HUSTLE and SWING for the holidays!
