I hope everyone survived Hurricane Florence without too many repercussions.  I know it has not been a fun week and things are not over yet for some. Now that the sun is thinking about coming back out in Raleigh, I think it is time to get back to dancing! The Friday Night Dance Party is rescheduled for this Friday, September 21st! Please mark it on your calendars and I hope everyone can attend. It will be 3 hours of fun dancing! A combination of Ballroom/Latin/WCS/Country Western music being played. Also, a quick Intermediate 30 minute lesson at the beginning of the night. Friday Night Dance Canceled!

Due to the severity of Hurricane Florence, we are postponing the dance tonight! Flash flood warnings and downed trees make it unsafe to be on the roads. We are planning on holding the dance for NEXT FRIDAY! I will send out another reminder later in the week. In the meantime, please stay home and be safe!

NEW BEGINNER I CLASS! – This is the class that gets you started in learning to dance! Starting Tuesday, January 2nd @ 7:00pm. Classes are 8 weeks – $80pp. Location: Boulder Creek Ballroom. $10 deposit to hold your spot is required. Learn the Foxtrot, Merengue, Hustle, and Cha Cha Cha! Dress comfortably. No street shoes! Only dance shoes or socks please!

ADVANCED VARIATIONS – Wednesday, January 3rd @7:00pm –  Fun class! Lots of people take this class over and over because it is always different. Teacher’s approval to join class.  Must have good foundation in Beginner I and II and Intermediate. Class votes on dances each time. Great for building sequences. 8 weeks, $80pp. Boulder Creek Ballroom.

BRONZE INT’L QUICKSTEP CLASS! 4 week class starting Sunday, January 7th  @ 2:00pm. Only $44pp.  Learn the Bronze Syllabus and improve on your technique. It’s a fun dance routine! You should have the foundations (BI and BII).  Location: Boulder Creek Ballroom. $10 deposit to hold your spot is required.  NO street shoes please! Dance shoes or socks only. 

NEW BRONZE LEVEL INTERNATIONAL RUMBA CLASS! A 5 week class, one hour each week starting Sunday, January 7th @ 3:00. Only $55 per person. Location is Boulder Creek Ballroom. Please send in $10 deposit to hold your spot in the class.

Starting Monday, July 3rd at 7:00pm another fun 8 week Beginner I Class to start you off on learning how to ballroom dance!  This class is designed to take you around the room in one hour from walking to dancing! It is fun and dances covered are the Foxtrot, Merengue, Hustle and Cha Cha Cha. A perfect combination for those hot summer parties.

PS. Don’t forget, Susie teaches private lessons all the time! She is an Adjudicator and has a pretty good eye on what you need to succeed with your dancing. You just need to schedule yours today!  They are one hour, one-on-one, and you can learn anything you want. Often, people feel they move quicker in a private lesson and get the benefit of dancing with the instructor!
